Frequently asked questions about Mobile Money
Does Shopisim take a commission on Mobile Money payments?
No. Shopisim takes nothing from your sales. Only your operator or aggregator charges its own fees, under the contract you signed with them.
Where does the money from my sales go?
Straight to your account with the operator or aggregator. Shopisim never holds your funds and does not sit in the money flow.
Can I enable several payment methods at once?
Yes. You can offer Mobile Money, card, bank transfer and cash on delivery side by side. Your customers choose at checkout.
Do I need a developer to set this up?
No. You enter your credentials in the dashboard and Shopisim handles the rest. No code is required.
Which countries does this work in?
Coverage depends on the operator, not on Shopisim. Together, Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money, Wave and M-Pesa cover much of West, Central and East Africa. Check with the operator that your country is served before committing.
